Vacancy in Posts of Categories :- Applications are invited for the following posts in semi-skilled grade, in the Pay Band-I Rs.5200-20200 and Grade Pay of Rs.1800. For the posts fo Machinist, Fitter, Mill Wright, Turner, Electrician, Grinder, Welder, Fitter [Electronics], Electroplater, Fitter [Auto], Fitter [Auto Electrical], Fitter [Electric]. |

Qualifications :- Essential : (a) For the posts fo Machinist, Fitter, Mill Wright, Turner, Electrician, Grinder, Welder, Fitter [Electronics], Electroplater, Fitter [Auto], Fitter [Auto Electrical], Fitter [Electric]. (i) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination. (ii) National Council of Trades for Vocational Training Certificate in the relevant trade failing which by I.T.I or equivalent Diploma / Certificate holder. (b) For the post of Examiner : (i) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination. (ii) National Council of Trades for Vocational Training Certificate in the trades of Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Electrician, Fitter Electronic failing which by I.T.I or equivalent Diploma / Certificate holder in Electrician / Machinist. |
Age Limit :- 18-32 years for General Candidates the crucial date for determining age limit shall be the last date of receipt of application, i.e.21 days from the date of Advertisement in the Employees News. Relaxation : a) Upto period of Trade Apprenticeship b) Upto 05 years for SC/ST c) Upto 03 years for OBC [on production of Non-Creamy Layer Certificate] from the competent authority. d) Upto 03 years in addition to the period of service rendered in the Defence Services for Ex-servicemen on production of Discharge Certificates. e) Upto 10 years for Persons with Disabilities [SC/ST - 15 years and OBC -13 years for PHP candiates] f) Upto 45 years for Departmental candidate with 3 years continuous service. |
Application Fee :- Application Fee of Rs.50 (Rupees Fifty Only) should be submitted along with the application through Indian Postal Order or Crossed Demand Draft (National Bank) drawn in favour of The General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Tiruchirapalli payable at Trichy. |

| Mode of Selection :- The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. The selection process will comprise of written test (objective type) of 100 marks and Trade Test (practical) of 100 marks. In the selection process other things being equal, i.e. marks being equal, trained apprentices of Ordnance Factory, Trichirapalli and other Ordnance Factories will be given prefernece in the order in which they are stated. |
